FAQ

Solar doesn’t have to be complicated. We’re here to help!

How does solar energy work?

Solar energy works by harnessing the power of the sun and converting it into electricity through the use of solar panels.

What happens if the panels break or stop working?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Your system is covered by a 25-year warranty and production guarantee. So, if your panels aren’t producing enough or something stops working, we take care of everything. You don’t pay a penny out of pocket.

What if I need a new roof?

We partner with the best roofing companies to get you the best pricing available. You have the option to combine the cost of the roof with the solar panels, so you don’t have to pay anything upfront. Plus, when you go solar and get a new roof, you can get up to 30% back on BOTH in the form of a tax credit.

Will it damage my roof?

We have a 10-year roof warranty in case any leaking or damage occurs. We thoroughly inspect everything before we install your panels. Plus, having solar panels adds an extra layer of protection against heat and damage.

Do I need a battery?

Depending on where you live, you likely won’t need a battery as long as your state offers net metering. We do offer batteries for power outages or self-consumption if your home or business would like a battery.

What if I move?

When you move, everything transfers over to the next homeowner. This will help them save money too. Plus, solar can increase the value of your home when you decide to sell.

What happens on cloudy days or at night?

We size the system so that you’re producing enough energy to offset for cloudy days and night time. You generate extra credits when it’s sunny, and pull from those credits when it’s not.

How long does it take to install?

Timelines for solar installations can vary due to approval from the power company and your county or state. In most cases, it takes about 3-8 weeks. The install itself takes less than a day. Oftentimes, no more than 4 hours.
